Truly 5 star! The view, ambiance, service and meal was nothing short of exceptional. My only negative was that they seated everyone so close by (with Covid cases rising) when the restaurant is huge. Perhaps, they didn't have enough staff? Either way, the servers were very well trained. The food was divine and the view can't be beat!
Dined here for Sunday brunch with a large group. Upon arrival the staff were extremely courteous and the views from the restaurant are Amazing. We were impressed from the start. We received prompt and attentive service throughout our entire dining experience. We were served so much passed table side food in addition to our main entree selection. Also, they aren't kidding about "bottomless mimosas" they kept our glasses very full! We ate a variety of things since it was such a large group of us some things were delicious but most items were just ok. Overall, would recommend a visit for brunch if you are in the area!
Great experience all around. Absolutely beautiful dining room with amazing views of the Hudson! Staff were friendly and attentive! Food was perfect, delicious and presented well. We did the $36 price fix menu for lunch and they had an additional page with 2 more options for each course. Many vegetarian options. We were able to have a leisurely lunch and were never rushed. Only negative is that they have valet parking which is $5 for cars and $10 for SUV's as parking can be difficult on the street. There are some metered 2 hour parking spots in front of restaurants. Fresh beautiful flowers on each table. This is really a wonderful restaurant for a special occasion, to celebrate or just for a wonderful , relaxing meal. A perfect experience!
I frequently dinned at Restaurant X and was disappointed that it closed down. We decided to go over the bridge and try out X20. First, it was further than we anticipated to get there and were didn't know that Yonkers was like a mini city. There is no parking at the restaurant, and you have to pay $10 for valet parking. The building is right on the Hudson. There is nothing on the bottom floor and the restaurant is on the top floor with lots of windows. You have a great view wherever you sit, including the view in the bathroom! The service was really good, they were very attentive and personal. The only part that was disappointing was we put on the Opentable reservation and we told the waiter that there was a birthday at the table and they did nothing to celebrate. We were there for brunch. It is a great deal with champagne included, and they frequently refill your glasses. We never felt like we were looking for a waiter to refill it. There were a few passed appetizers, the coconut shrimp was outstanding. It was not too sweet and the shrimp was huge and juicy. There was also an ahi tuna roll that was lightly fried but didn't have that too fried taste. There were lamb chops that were cooked perfectly and mushroom raviolios that were light and tasty. For the first course, I had the risotto which was a nice portion tasty, I just wish it was a little warmer. For the main course, I had the seabass special which was delicious and the serving size was perfect. For dessert, I had the chocolate lava cake which was only alright, it didn't have that lava in the middle that I love. After we ate, we went outside on the deck and took some beautiful pictures. Overall, we thought it was a great deal and a fabulous time. We will definitely be back for brunch for a special occasion.
Lovely spot located on the scenic Hudson River. The short ribs and cod were excellent as well as the appetizers and wine. Friendly staff and elegant atmosphere. Parking is hard to find so valet is recommended.
We came here during restaurant week on a Friday at 5:30pm and everything is perfect! I have no idea why it only has 3.9 stars. It wasn't busy when we arrived at their 5:30pm opening so we received great attention and service. We ordered the truffle risotto as starter. They gave us a good portion. King salmon with miso is served on a bed of cream orzo with tomatoes and mushrooms. The brazino was cooked perfectly, tender filet and crispy skin. I was impressed knowing how hard it is to cook it. Brazino came with mashed potatoes and snow peas. Good size portion. For dessert we ordered almond olive pound cake and apple/cranberry crumb. The latter is more moist and it has an Italian twist. Ambiance is great. We sat by the wall to wall window and got a view of Manhattan and Jersey during sunset.
Quite good food and amazing service. The views are amazing; it's great to be able to have a fine dining experience on the waterfront. Not many options for vegans or vegetarians, however. The best offerings on the menu or meat or fish related.
I had dinner at X20 during Hudson Valley Restaurant Week, this is my 3rd time patronizing this restaurant with my restaurant and I am happy to report that it has never disappointed. It was a busy Saturday night, and we had an 8:30 pm reservation, we arrived and were seated promptly upstairs in the restaurant. We were sat next to the window with a beautiful view of the Hudson River, even in the dark you were able to see. Our drink orders were taken, I had an Owl's Call and my husband the HV Spiked Cider. Both were refreshing and delicious. I enjoyed the butternut squash bisque for an appetizer which alone deserves 5 . My husband had the Tuna tar tar. For entrees my husband had the roasted chicken and I had the glazed salmon. Both were delightful. for dessert I ordered the almond pound cake, it.came with a blueberry compote, which added back the moist that the dense cake needed. The wait staff was very attentive, making sure we had what we needed and our water cups were full. Overall, if you're looking for an upscale dinner with delicious food, beautiful views, and attentive staff, look no further than X2O.
